WELCOME BACK!
Ahoy travelers!
It's July! It's hot out! And we're halfway done with 2026!
This year started with a blur, and I'm still just hanging on for dear life. The good news is that I finished writing book 3, I got through spring market season, and now I'm pivoting to the second half of the year with even more markets, more books, and more work. I thought the first half of the year was exciting, but the remaining six months are going to be even better. Check out the updates below and put stuff on your calendars!
ANOTHER KICKSTARTER UPDATE
Is this a dead horse yet? Goodness, no. The horse hasn’t even left the stables! The Kickstarter for “Chronicles of the Second Sun” goes live on August 1st and it’s going to be packed with a ton of awesome goodies and merch, like these art cards, created by the illustrious Andrea Corsini.
It’s been such a delight working with Andrea on these books. She’s brought the covers to life, she’s brought the characters to life, and she’s also working on a super top secret project that I’m hoping to tease in the next newsletter. Keep an eye on my Instagram account for an earlier sneak peek.

Now for my reading corner!
RECKLESS TRUTH BY SAFARI SPELL
I read RECKLESS TRUTH by Safari Spell, and I really enjoyed this! It’s been on my TBR for a long time, and that was a mistake because this was such a fun ride. The only downside is that even though this is the 5th or 6th book she’s published in this universe, it’s the FIRST book in chronological order, and the second book hasn’t been published yet.
Don’t let that stop you, though! If you enjoy vampires, biblical influences, and family drama, I highly recommend this.
PREY TO GOD BY JESSE D’ANGELO
The other book I want to feature is PREY TO GOD by Jesse D’Angelo.
Talk about a hard pivot. I’m a huge fan of Jesse, I’ve read almost everything he’s published, and it’s all wonderful horror and scares. This book is no exception. This is a great read if you enjoy monster thriller movies with surprisingly in-depth character development. It reminded me of the South Korean film “The Host”, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
